A Gift For Her
A Gift For Her
Fight your way through bugs as you pick flowers for a lovely friend of yours!
About: This is my second real attempt at a complete game, and my first Unity game! Any feedback is very welcome and very wanted. This game was completed with 1 day left in the jam, as I felt like I reached my conclusion. I learned so much this time.
Known Issues:
- When moving and using a tool, sometimes movement can become locked. Try pressing the corresponding direction you're locked into to release yourself from the forced direction.
- Hitboxes are a little wonky, not sure how to make sure they trigger without clicking often.
- Cutscenes at the end don't render the tiles correctly and I'm unsure why. I'm using a pixel perfect camera and the same way I render the game, yet it still shows strangely.

I have to admit, I didn't manage to finish it with all the flowers at any level, because sometimes when near an object it doesn't pick it up unless you walk around it and press the key multiple times, and the enemies are a bit too aggressive when you approach the end. Anyway I liked it, the idea is neat and the graphic is cute! :)
Thank you for your comment! I'll be sure to take that feedback in mind, the controls aren't as responsive as they should be.
The artwork is awesome.
Nice job!!
Thanks! : D
Such a cute little game! When I was looking through some of the early entries I knew I wanted to play this one.
One weird bug report: I noticed while using tools that shoot (gun-thing, and watering can) I sometimes lost control of the character. For example, I couldn't move down and right.
Thanks for playing, and thanks for commenting!! I can't seem to recreate that bug on my end but another person also having the bug said to press the corresponding direction you're locked into and it will release you from the forced direction. That will be the first thing I try and fix once we can edit out submissions again!
